Clan of Conan Issue 17 out
June 18th, 2008 |
If you didn’t already know, issue 17 of the Clan of Conan newsletter has been released with some information about what to expect in Age of Conan during the next weeks or months.
Dancing is now introduced to Age of Conan. Personally this is not something I really need, but I understand some people, especially roleplayers appreciate this extension to the hyborian world. Thank god they didn’t have this as a high priority during launch at least.
The PvP, or Player versus Player, -system of Age of Conan is going to be improved within the month. PvP is a very important part of Age of Conan, and we will soon see PvP levels, ranks and gear. You can read more about the PvP improvements on the Age of Conan communitysite.
More content, like quests, dungoens and regions is also planned for release soon. We are especially happy that they are focusing on the voice-over, and try to introduce as much of the quests, at least the important quests, with full voice-over. Many players tend to just click through the conversations with there’s no voice, and I can’t blame them.
A game Age of Conan obviously has learned a lot from is Eve Online, and we see another thing we know from that game in development, guild alliances. Eve Online has alliances of guilds, or corporations as they are called there, and instead of guilds fighting, there are giant corporations fighting for control and glory. Hopefully AoC will also be able to implement this to become a success.
