Cimmerians
The people of Cimmeria, the cimmerians, is used to a tough weather with grim days and violent storms. The most famous cimmerian is King Conan of Aquilonia, but he is not a typical cimmerian. Most of the cimmerian people do not wish to travel to foreign lands, but stay within the mountain boundaries and mostly ignores what happends outside their clan’s territories. The culture is shaped by the harsh lands, and they live from hand to mouth, not worrying about what will happend in the future.
Cimmeria do not have an established government, but the people is devided into tribes to are locked into internal wars, with individual leadership and laws. They do not worship any gods, but acknowledges Crom as the ruling gods of the northern lands. They believe Crom give them strenth at birth, but after that they are on their own, and Crom mostly ignores the lives of the people of Hyboria.
Playing a cimmerian character will be an varied and interesting experience because of the barbaric nature. They are not afraid to charge into battle even if the odds of actually winning the battle is against them. Honor and loyalty is important to them. The cimmerian people and culture is influenced by the celtic culture of the medieval ages, and they would rather solve a conflict with a blade in their hand than with words. Their hearts beats for their land and bloodline, and the tough land gives them strength no training could ever give them.
They pass knowledge and lore verbally as stories and tales instead of using books. Arcane powers is believed to darken the hearts of men, and the only magic performed and respected by cimmerians is therefore from their own seers and shamans. They believe in a life bsed on strength, skill and cunning, and weapons, blood and hard work is the correct path of life. Cimmerian appearence reflect the land they live in, and they are often tall and muscular, with grey eyes, dark hair and fair skin.
